About Proflur Eye Drop

Proflur Eye Drop is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug also known as NSAID mainly effective in treating pain in eye. It works by reducing the hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Proflur Eye Drop is also used to treat pain or inflammation caused by osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. There are studies that show Proflur Eye Drop can or may increase at risk of a fatal heart attack or stroke, especially during long term use or when taking high doses. It’s best to talk to your doctor if you have any heart disease or even a family history of heart problems. Even people without heart disease or risk factors could have a stroke or heart attack while on this medicine.

Some common side effects indigestion, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, confusion, tremors, headache, feeling nervous, constipation, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, increased sweating, itching or rash or ringing in your ears. Some signs of an allergic reaction may include runny or stuffy nose, wheezing or trouble breathing, sneezing, swelling of your lips, tongue, face or throat. If you experience any of the following you need to stop your Proflur Eye Drop and call your doctor: sudden change in your vision, any kind skin rash, sudden shortness of breath, rapid weight gain, signs of stomach bleeding--bloody or tarry stools, coughing up blood or vomit.

    How does this medication work?

    Proflur Eye Drop is an analgesic antipyretic anti-inflammatory agent which works by non selectively inhibiting activity of enzymes cyclooxygenase 1 and 2, which are essential in the biosynthesis of prostaglandins. Their inhibition reduces prostaglandins, which in turn reduces pain, fever, and swelling.
