About Powergesic Tablet

Powergesic TabletPowergesic Tablet is a combination medicine used for the treatment of muscle spasm pain usually associated with musculoskeletal conditions. This medicine contains muscle relaxant in combination with NSAID.

It works by blocking pain sensations or nerve impulses that are sent to the brain. Powergesic Tablet when used together with rest and physical therapy can treat skeletal muscle conditions such as injury or pain.

Avoid using Powergesic medicine if you are allergic to it or if you are taking sodium oxybate. Inform your doctor if you have or you are:

Stop using Powergesic Tab and consult your doctor if you experience any serious side effects including black, bloody, or tarry stools, nausea, itching, fainting, upper stomach pain, dark urine, loss of appetite and clay-coloured stools.

Powergesic Tab is to be taken by mouth with or without food. Taking it with food reduces the risk of stomach upset. Do not take in this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Follow your doctor’s prescription carefully to ensure complete safety.

    Powergesic Tablet is a muscle relaxant that is used to treat the muscle spasms and the pain caused by the same. No mechanism of action has been determined for the medication as of yet, but the drug suppresses the central nervous system to produce the desired effects. The NSAIDs present in the combination inhibits an enzyme named Cyclooxygenase which is responsible for the formation of prostaglandin. Prostaglandin is a major contributor to the process of inflammation and pain sensation in the body.

        Powergesic medicine can react with multiple tablets and cause harmful side effects. Carbamazepine, Phenytoin, Ramipril and Aspirin are some of the tablets that can cause moderate side effects when used along with Powergesic Tablet. Methotrexate, Sodium Nitrite, Prilocaine, Adefovir, Apixaban and Ketorolac are the medicines that can cause severe side effects.
