My baby is 1.6 years old and have one week of fever. Our local Dr. prescribed the medicines like calpol 120/5 mg and and anti biotic but the fever persist so moved to our pediatrics he prescribed to test the blood count and the result everything is normal and wbc is increased to 11600. And given medicine mefenamic acid for fever. I started the course today night. My question is what is my baby problem. How long it take to cure. Suppose the fever does not cure what will be the next thing that I have to do.

Fever is a symptom not disease. Fever for more than week require proper examination and investigation. With wbc count, its differential count is equally important. Get his urine r/e too. It is nice that pediatrician is looking after your baby.

And I am taking mefenamic acid and paracetamol for pain and pain can be cope up only for tht time when ii take paracetamol medicine and right ne I am in pain soo what can I doo bcs paracetamol also have side effects and hospitals near inside me are ntt open till lokdownn and cannot says further soo can you advice medicine frr pain and which will ntt have side effect onn my health as I am taking paracetamol fromm 20 days.

Does c reactive protein test results 3.4 mg/l is bad and hey, i'm abi, 22 years old. I was recently diagnosed with polycystic ovaries. The doctor gives me mefenamic acid and diane 35 (birth control pill). I have been experiencing severe abdominal pain and swelling since my 16 until today. Excessive menstrual bleeding and severe menstrual pain. Pcos medications do not cure my abdominal pain. With my severe abdominal pain I feel like I tried so hard. What should I do now.

Meftalp should be given maximum three times a day at 8 hourly interval in age appropriate dose if temperature is > 100 but it is not preffered as first medicine for fever due to its adverse effects on liver function.
First drug which should be used in case of fever is paracetamol in dose which has been confirmed by your doctor
dose of any of these drugs is decided by weight of the child, hence do specify your child's weight also.

My wisdom tooth is growing. Tjis is the 3rd time. This time it is on the lower leftmost part of my mouth. I feel pain on my gums in the entire left part of my mouth. I mean from the wisome tooth which is on the farthest side to the teeth in front. The upper left part also aches. Is this normal knowing that I got my wisdom tooth growing? But when my first wisdom tooth grows it is not like this. I also brush my teeth with toothpaste and baking soda (mix to make a paste) everyday. About 2-3 times a day. Is it bad? I went to my dentist and she told me its normal coz I got my wisdom tooth. But I never get to mention about the baking soda. She just gave me painkillers. Mefenamic acid to be exact. But the pain does not subside. Its too much pain I do not know what to do. Should I stop brushing my teeth with baking soda? Please help me im in so much pain.

Yes you can wash your mouth with hot water and also use salt to cleanse your mouth rather than brushing your teeth which is the reason for you to have pain.

Hi I 46 years old female wanted advise. As last two three years anxiety ad hampered my routine ad career routine, was of excessive PMS,(relatedpremenstrual symptoms) as I am single I relate all this due to pms, need advise as was this premenstrual or it can be called as premenopausal signs ad symptoms compared to last year's this year since January I am much in less anxious state ad cool. But last two years I have lost too many of my career choices. My menstrual cycle is on still 30 days 28 days etimetimss 3moderate days ad up to 4 to 5thmild days. But pms use to be highly alerting compared. Not on any medicines or hormones. Kept taking advices but took only painmeds during actual cycle (diclofenac specially ad mefenamic acid at times.) Advise if I can take any homeopathy or ayurvedic med or just wait. Am interested in organic remedies. Kindly explain this.
