Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
Hello, to give an opinion on whether sglt-2 inhibitor will be helpful to you, or not I need to know quite a few things like serum creatinine, weight, height, egfr, diet pattern and extent of daily exercise & hba1c%. After going through those details only I will be able to give a specific answer. Thanks.

You get USG abdomen and pvrv and urine routine and culture and sensitivity done. It could be due to enlargement of the prostate. If your reports are normal you can start tab urimax d once daily for 1 months and see how is the response.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
The reason why blood glucose is not in control can be due to 1) Dietary intake is not as required or it is higher than recommended 2) No or limited exercise which does not burn body's glucose and does not help insulin action 3) Medicine taken may not be adequate. So one has to look at all of these causes and then decide. Thanks.

Hello, thanks for the query.
In general it is better to avoid alcohol for a diabetic person. The reason is that it has no nutritional value but provides empty calories. It also blunts hypoglycemic awareness. Once a while a small quantity may be taken. Thanks.
