Hello, Thanks for the query.
BP 160/80 mm Hg is high, ideally it should be around 120 to 130/ 70 to 80 mm Hg. You may have to increase the dose of Olmesartan to 40 mg a day.
With HbA1c% 6% diabetes seems to be well controlled. Thanks

Hi, Our target for BP should be <140/90. At the same time we should also look for other cardiovascular risk factors like, Diabetes, Smoking, Lipids and Family history etc. To control your blood pressure we should titrate your medicines. Other than medicines you can use life style modifications like salt restriction, regular exercise, increase fibers, fruits and fresh vegetables and reduce stress in your life.

As per standard protocols, there needs to at least 5 years of seizure free period before tapering and stopping medications. Newer protocols followed by some doctors believe in stopping medications even if there is 1 year of seizure free interval. It is best that you consult with your neurologist and let him decide on what is best for you.

As you said your physical activity is nil. Try to improve that first. Plus you need to control your stress and anxiety. Healthy diet low in salt, fat, simple carbohydrate and rich in fibres, vegetables along with daily exercise may help to control your bp.
