Hi, Our target for BP should be <140/90. At the same time we should also look for other cardiovascular risk factors like, Diabetes, Smoking, Lipids and Family history etc. To control your blood pressure we should titrate your medicines. Other than medicines you can use life style modifications like salt restriction, regular exercise, increase fibers, fruits and fresh vegetables and reduce stress in your life.

Dear lybrate-user.
It's good to share your concern about your health. Hypertension is known to be silent killer and is No 1 cause of mortality causing heart attack worldwide. Taking medication is good but you should use lifestyle medicine to combat and reverse it. Medication does control in numbers but impacts on side effects.
Have a proper lifestyle management.

Hi... Sorry to hear about the problem. ... If your blood pressure is 160/120 on the medication, then you should talk to your doctor about possibly increasing the medicine as the BP is not well controlled.
There are many reasons for the pain. With the high BP you should talk to your doctor and atleast get an ECG to get it checked out.
Hope this helps, Please let me know should you need anything.
Thanks

As you said your physical activity is nil. Try to improve that first. Plus you need to control your stress and anxiety. Healthy diet low in salt, fat, simple carbohydrate and rich in fibres, vegetables along with daily exercise may help to control your bp.

Dear Simanta,
Since you are already taking drugs for B.P. and panic, it is better to consult the doctors before you take drugs for ED.
Sometimes Nexito kind of drugs or the blood vessel changes due to high B.P. may be causing ED. If we find the cause, it can be treated.
