As your mother is diabetic, we can not continue olanzapine for long term.
We need to change olanzapine to safer antipsychotic like aripiprazole or Amisulpride.
Thank you

ALLOPATHIC MEDICINES HAVE SEVERE SIDE-EFFECTS. I RECOMMEND A SWITCH TO NEAREST PATANJALI CHIKITSALAYA MEDICINES AS ADVISED PLUS PRANAYAM .

IF YOU HELP HER TO PRACTICE ALL THAT IS TAUGHT DAILY ON ASTHA CHANNEL 5.00 TO 7.30 AM. VERY VERY EFFECTIVE- ESP ANULOM-VILOM AND BRAMRI AND UDGIT. YOU WILL GET MIRACULOUS RESULTS FOR FREE AND WITHOUT ADVERSE EFFECTS OF ALLOPATHIC MEDICINES.

BUT, MEDICINES ARE DEFINITELY REQUIRED.

Dear lybrate user. Many of the trading high protien powders in the market are having steroids mixed with them which predisposes a person for depression. As you already had an episode of depression in the past, you be cautious of what that powder contains as ingrediants. Spirulina in pure form has no such interactions.

Dear Nikhil,
Probably she would not have come out of depression and she stopped the tablets only on symptomatic relief. It is better to consult the doctor and then stop the medicines. Now that she is depressed, let her consult the doctor again and start the medicines. Sometimes, the same medicines in the same dose may not work that well for a relapse.

Zolpidem and clonazepam are not to be taken for long. Olimelt as you say can cause weight gain. There are ways to counter this or alternates which give sleep on long run without causing harm. Consult a psychiatrist and seek remedy. Good luck.

Yes, she has serious condition and will be on medication for a long time. But she should go for therapy sessions too. You have not mentioned her age and that could be significant to her recovery too: the younger she is, the better the prognosis. There may be some genetic factors too. She should be made to cooperate because she may not realize and tend to act out and become uncooperative in therapy. In therapy she will learn a lot of skills, tools and techniques to cope with her condition. Any wa...more
