People promoting the Keto diet say it uses the body’s own fat burning system to help people lose significant weight in as little as 10 days.

Keto is an extreme diet which is difficult to sustain in the long run. It's better to reduce your calories gradually. There is no magic pill/diet for weight loss. It needs a permanent change in daily food and exercise routine.

Hi,
thank you for your query. We will be happy to help you.
No, I would not recommend going on the keto diet. If you want to lose weight, make some diet modifications and have a proper exercise schedule. Avoid all outside food that includes junk, processed food as well as food items that are oily, sugary, or salty. Instead eat home cooked meals with 4 to 5 servings of fruits and veggies. Have your dinner early and keep it light. Eat a protein rich breakfast every morning. Drink plenty of...more

Like any significant change to your diet, when starting a ketogenic diet, it is normal to experience one or more side effects as the body adapts to a new way of eating.
When going on a ketogenic diet, the body has to switch its fuel source from the glucose in carbohydrate to using its own fat stores, and this can lead to experiencing some of the following side effects:
Loss of salts
Keto-flu
Changes in bowel habits
Leg cramps
Bad breath
Loss of energy.

That's a great weight loss. When you quit Keto you might gain back 4-5 kgs as there will be water weight coming back. This will stabilise after the initial couple of kgs, so please don't worry when you stop the diet. Use multivitamins only if you feel the need, if you ate weaker losing hair weaker nails dull skin etc. You can use any otc multivitamins bought from a pharmacy. I will suggest you to take a vitamin c as well since keto foods lack in it seriously. If you find my answer helpful please...more
