Dear , I must know your age, urine report sonography with full bladder volume, bladder-wall thickness and post void residual urine. As you have recurrent/persistent infection one has to find the cause. It may be that the dose was not right or duration was inadequate or drug was not taken as it should be taken or usg was wrongly interpreted or was not done in much detail as shown earlier. instead of injection tablet nitrofurantoin (martifur) 100 mg twice daily for 7 days is better option ..infact its the first choice drug to treat urine infection....u can avoid inj amikacin altogether
