Please explain what is the level (7.95 uiu/l) you are referring to? Whether it is tsh or any other hormone. If it tsh then she has sub-clinical hypothyroidism, which invariably does not require any treatment. Please also let me know what are the symptoms she has related to thyroid gland? Thanks.

First, you are hugely mistaken if you think the correct treatment for cholesterol and thyroid problems is to stop treatment after they return to normal. You seem to be prejudiced against modern medicines. Both these problems are chronic diseases and hence, require treatment lifelong. Your doctor is just trying to avoid an argument with you and just urging you to continue the medications for your own good health. You somehow do not seem to trust him.
