My 8.5 year old son is suffering from stomach ache, chest pain and headache along with constipation since last 12 days. He has severe gas problem as well. He didn't pass motion for nearly four days even after laxatives. Then we had to insert suppository after which was relieved. Later also we gave him laxatives on doctor's advice but no relief. He was given albendazole, Mox and antacids but no relief. He has bouts of stomach ache and chest pain. His ultrasound and stomach x-ray and CBC are normal. Please help.

Going by your history and details provided I would suggest you following:
1. Please keep a tab at the kind of food items that may be causing gastritis (esp. Junk foods, soft drinks, fried foods etc.).
2. Also keep a check at the kind of food items that may be causing constipation (esp junk food, low fiber foods etc.)
3. Antacids may also cause constipation. It may need a change to some other drugs in consultation with your doctor.

My teeth are paining and there is swelling on that side. I have taken mox 250, brufen 400 and subsequently salt and baking soda mouthwash. combiflam is also used.in a small measure. However the pain is persisting. I am diabetic type 2 on insulin and nearly 80 years old. Can you suggest a quick relief .i will visit a dentist after the pains subside.

Hello,
YOu have taken the right treatment . You just need to continue the dosage twice a day for at least 3 days before swelling shall reduce. For pain re;lief you may take brufen even thrice a day if required.

I had done sex twice in the month of march. One was one the last day of ovulation. After that I got periods (march 30). Recently (april 23) I had an dental treatment that I moved my wisdom tooth after that my periods was supposed to start on march 29 still now I did got my periods and tablets I took was cap mox and tab dicolra .what may the reason for delay in periods?

If had no intercourse after last period (30/3) then no question of pregnancy.
In that case may wait and if required hormonal treatment.

My son is having erosive duodenitis (h. Pylori +ve) and was given nexpro rd and normaxin for seven days but during that period the Dr. was out of station later on another doctor advised pylokit for one week, which my son took. Now the first doctor has advised him nexpro rd one daily, mox (500) and claribiid (500 mg). Can you please advise that after taking pylokit for one week, the above mentioned medicines can be taken.

Health Query

Due to teeth pain Dr. Suggested tab zip p, mox cv & pan 40. Later suggested for rct. But taking medicine for at least 6 days, I have not get any relief from pain. After taking tab pain got relief for 5-6 hrs and then again start. My sugar level is ok. Kindly suggest what to do because pain is un-bearable.

Advise c. Amox 500 mg 1-1-1, thrice daily, t. Metrogyl 400 mg 1-1-1, thrice daily, t. Imol 1-1-1, thrice daily (contraindicated in conditions with gastric ulcer, asthma, wheezing,allergy ), c. Becosules 1-0-0 once daily all for 3 days only.
Home remedy
until then apply clove oil, chew garlic clove chew a few slices of raw onion
chew 1 or 2 tender guava leaves

My son (18 months old) was having cold from sometime. And then he got fever from yesterday mrng. I am giving him crocin 120 syrup 6 ml every 5.5 hrs. His fever is ranging from 102 to sometimes 103.3.
