The nerve pain is due to long standing diabetes. That is what will lead to recurrent ulcers on feet. Please moisturise feet daily. Take treatment immediately if there is any sign of infection. Control diabetes and blood pressure well. Do not let her walk barefoot

Lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Telmisartan plus Amlodepine (TELMA AM) is a good and safe combination. The other tablet mentioned is Losartan + Hydrochlothiazide. That too is good. Doctor must have changed to newer drug for getting better control. But if she is not comfortable with that, she can take the earlier combination. Thanks.

YOu are on a good combination pill ad if there is no reason to change it you can continue it. Trilosar 6.25 mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Losartan, Amlodipine and Chlorthalidone. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). They work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over ti...more

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
It is good to see that both BP and blood glucose are fairly well controlled. Increase in microalbuminuria and creatinine suggests that kidney are getting affected mostly due to diabetes.
One of the group of drugs recommended for hypertension with diabetes is ACE-Inhibitors like Lisinopril, Enalepri or ARBs like Losartan, Telmisartan or Olmesartan etc. Thanks.

Hi, please check your blood pressure. Your dizziness can be due to low bp which do happen at times with the ant-hypertensives.
If low, you can consume salted buttermilk, coffee, coconut water or good enough water. Hope this helps! still unwell, please consult in private to understand your condition and plan for your therapy.

Mr Samir Kanti Nath, I have seen the details given.
Your glucose levels mentioned are showing good control. Even HbA1c% is also very good. Please continue the same treatment and lifestyle. As regards BP which is quite low, so you may stop the drug Losartan50 mg for a few days. Keep monitoring the BP regularly. Only when it goes above normal then you may consider taking the medication. Thanks.

One treatment is to control high blood pressure, especially if that’s the underlying cause of the GN. Blood pressure may be very hard to control when your kidneys aren’t working properly. If this is the case, your doctor may prescribe blood pressure medications, including angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE inhibitors) such as:
Captopril
Lisinopril
Perindopril
Your doctor may also prescribe angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs), such as:
Losartan
Irbesartan
