Losartan is used to treat high blood pressure. It is possible that doctor must have prescribed it for controlling the high BP. Since there is no mention of any BP readings, it is difficult for me to know exactly. Thanks.

If bp is 200 it is dangerous.
It is less then 140.
So consult your physician and adjust years doses and drugs.

Normally losartan works for 24 hrs but in some cases we increase the dose to twice a day. Get one a b p ie ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (24 hrs) done.

It's also due to urimax sometimes morning giddiness.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user. You can take either losartan or telmisartan as both belong to same category of drugs but try to adhere to one drug instead of frequently changing it.

you can be shifted from one to the otherif BP is staying out of range. Usually BP should be checked once every month on fixed dates after resting for ten minutes. Medicine should be changed after 3 month trial and only if it is not achieving desired BP
amlodipine is slow strong effect. Losartan quicker but milder.
