Hello lybrate-user, if you are diagnosed to have fistula, then please understand that it's an extra passage which is communicating from rectum with outside. So only ointment or antibiotic will not going to give you cure. Sitting in hot betadine water is going to keep the area clean. But you need to consult one proctologist for this. Hopefully you will be cured.

It is leats better to get an anal fissure checked. It could be some other disease, and many terms referring to diseases in that region are misused.
