Lybrate-user , Thanks for the query. After talking that medicine for some days, glucose levels need to be checked, to see if desired benefits are achieved. So check the levels after a week or 10 days later. Plus you will have to follow the dietary guidance and also exercise regularly. All the things are important. Thanks.

Fasting blood sugar should be less than 126 and post prandial (after food should be less than 160) ideally. She might need a change in her dose or might need new medications. She needs to be reviewed by the physician.
That being said, if there is a change in her routine i.e. She is getting less excercise or eating in an appropriate way that needs to be addressed.

The medicines being taken are all very safe and being used world over by millions of patients for many many years. SO there is no reason to worry. Most important is to have a well controlled blood glucose level like FBG < 100 mg or closer t 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% ,6.5%. Thanks.
