Hello, Thanks for the query.
You are already on multiple drugs for controlling blood glucose. At 50 years your control is fairly good. Ideally HbA1c% should be around 6.5%. However, there is no mention of your height (only weight is mentioned), plus nothing on dietary intake as well as extent of daily exercise. In diabetes treatment these two aspects are more important than just drugs. So there is a need to give a closer look at those two areas. Reducing or making certain changes to diet and...more

Its quite surprising that with a report of 97/193 some one has prescribed Diabetic medicines for you. Kindly repeat all your tests again from a different lab. Take your reports to a different doctor. Diabetes medicines should not be taken in this manner. They can create problems in case your body doesn't need them. Better to be sure.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
I have gone through the details given. Feeling sleepy just after lunch or dinner, is in no way related to diabetes per say. It could be due to improper sleep at night. Please increase your physical activity both in the morning and in the evening, that should give a sound sleep at night. Which in turn may improve the above situation.
As regards HbA1c% being normal, since there is no mention of actual fasting, PP and HbA1c% values, it is difficult to...more

Thanks for the query.
When diabetes goes on for some years even when it is well controlled there is possibility of developing neuropathy. The symptoms tend to increase if the control is not ood. Looking at your treatment already there are plenty of drugs. Still control is not as desired. Ideally fasting should be < 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg and HbA1c% <6.8. Therefore, there is a need to give a closer look at your diet, and exercise first. Then if need be we may have to consider adding or chan...more
