My wife have surgical abortion on clinic before 10 days. After three days of abortion she has light bleeding. Now doctor suggested for taking norethisterone for 10 days. Is it safe for taking it or need to consult with some doctor test.

Yes this is safe. But you are requested not to overdose it as it can cause complication in future fertilisation as norethisterone works by by increasing thickness of natural mucus at the neck of the womb, also it thickens the endometrium lining thus making it more difficult for any successfully fertilised eggs to implant here.

Also norethisterone has many side effects. It will not cure but will increase the problems next time.

Normally takes 3 to 8 days after stopping tablet to get withdrawal bleeding. If tablets are taken for more days then better chances. If withdrawal bleeding does not happen then reports and change in treatment required.

Hello, you can opt for progesterones from day 21 of your cycle till as long as you wish to delay your menses and once stopped, the menses shall start in next 3-5 days.

First - After taking the high hormonal emergency pill like unwanted 72 one gets withdrawal bleeding 5 to 10 days later, and then a new cycle starts.
Now if you want to delay period - There are hormonal drugs for same, but any drug can be prescribed by the only doctor who has examined you or can examine you so go to such medical practitioner.

I have been taking for 2 months and my tablets are going to finish. Will this tablet reset my cycle? How many days periods will I have? Thanks.

Hey lybrate-user these medicines will help you. You have to these tablets for 21 days then stop and wait for periods ,then again start on 5th day of periods, like tis you have to take 3 months course.
