No medicine should not be give 100 percent safe! don't be completely depends on (medication). Please improves your d3 levels, iron, magnesium, zinc, phosphorous, b complex, etc, please concentrate your diet. Compulsory change your diatory habits. I don't know about Algina but the others are for your Diabetes & calcium & Vitamin D. You can take extra care in your diet to control your blood sugar. You can try taking 1 tsp. Castor oil at bedtime with a glass of water. It can help you for your knee pain.

I have not seen your MRI . If a cartilage charting shows there is a defect on the cartilage then an arthroscopy is better to treat that defect. Depending on the size of the defect the treatment is biased. The pain is only immediate. If a definite defect is there then it needs to be treated otherwise will lead to early osteoarthritis
