Dr. lybrate-user for the query.
The blood glucose levels mentioned are fairly high, suggesting diabetes is uncontrolled. It is clear that present medication is not really helping, there is a need for up gradation of treatment. Ideally in a well controlled diabetesfasting should be < 100 mg, PP 160 to 180 mg in a slightly older person. HbA1c% < 7.
To help achieve better control we need to look at his dietary pattern, extent of daily physical activity (exercise) and the medication. I would...more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. It is not possible to give any opinion on your specific question. At that time what were fasting & pp levels as well as hba1c%? 2) since when generic drugs are bing used? How often blood glucose is being checked after changing the tablets (brands or generics)? 3) has there been any change in th...more

Avoid taking lots of sweets which will help in controlling your blood sugar.
Follow advice of your Diabetologist.
No need to monitor blood sugar so frequently, because it increases anxiety. Fasting,pp and before dinner will suffice.
Once in three months get your HbA1c test done.

Hello-
Men with diabetes often have reduced testosterone levels, which can affect their ejaculation control. Diabetes also damages the blood vessels, which can affect blood flow to the penis, reduced blood flow means weaker and shorter erection.
To combat diabetes and sexual weakness, you need to first control your blood sugar through proper dieting. Avoid tobacco and excessive alcohol consumption, as these conditions can cause other forms of impotence. In addition, supplement your di...more

Dear lybrate-user,
the symptoms you have described shows that the person for whom you are asking needs to be evaluated physically. With persistent hyperglycemia with medicines there are high possibilities of secondary drug failure of your diabetes medicines and fair chances of ketosis. I personally feel that dizziness is not the symptom that can be treated by online consultation. It is advisable that you must consult a good diabetologist near you.
Take care.

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. Following are my observations: 1) her hba1c% is too high, similarly fasting and pp glucose levels are also very high. This suggests her present treatment is not working well. There is an urgent need for up grade.
2) with a bmi of 31.45 kgs/sq meter, she is already in grade 1 obesity, carrying an excess of over 20 kgs. This itself is a hindrance in achieving better glucose control.

Is this your fasting sugar or pp. Frequent ruination can be because of prostate problem or infection. Follow this 1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 2. Don't overeat 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. U should eat whatever your mother or grandparent eat in bfast. I mean to say...more
