Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Since she has been taking oral anti-diabetic drugs for controlling blood glucose, it has to T2 diabetes. In T1 only Insulin Injection has to be given. No other drug works.

Dear lybrate-user,
you do have fairly uncontrolled diabetes and I do not think the present drugs will get this under control. If you have been losing weight and have become very thin, you will need insulin for good control. You can take an online appointment to get your diabetes problem sorted out

lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query.
Diabetes is a condition occuring due to either deficiency of Insulin or resistance to its action due to fat and high glucose. Plus being overweight and being inactive adds to the problem. Reducing the weight and strictly following a proper diet, doing regular exercise can definitely help in better control But drug therapy is almost always needed.

the damage to insulin secreting cells of pancreas is permanent. hence you have diabetes. that is why you require mediation, which you unfortunately may be for long term basis.
