Exercise and diet restriction with medicine to keep blood sugar level within normal range. Aerocort is not suppose to cause suffocation. Probably might be something wrong with method of taking aerocort.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
The fasting level is fairly good, but after food is a bit high. Ideally it should be around 170 to 180 mg. There is no need to change the treatment. It is necessary to control dietary intake and increase physical activity. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
In well controlled diabetes fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8. If these values are achieved, then it is good. If not then treatment needs to be looked at. Therefore, it is clear that her present levels are not under control. Hence the treatment needs to be upgraded. Plus one has to look at her dietary intake, extent of daily exercise, weight, height, BP readings and lipid profile. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
I have gone through the query. I only understand that your body weight has reduced, but there is absolutely no mention about blood glucose control or current levels, HbA1c%, BP readings, what is the reduction in weight, diet pattern, extent of daily exercise, lipid profile plus whether there are any other medical issues. It is difficult to give any opinion or suggestion without knowing any of the above details. So please comeback with relevant details,...more

Dear, Yes your sugar levels are not well controlled and you are on a number of medications. But do not worry you still do not need to be insulin as we can still increase the doses of your medications. Glimepiride 1 mg can be increased so can met for min and pioglitazone. However januvia or sisal up tin is at the highest dose possible.

You should know about the normal limits for non- diabetic people, and good control (well-controlled) levels for diabetic people. Go for regular health check up with your doctor and also do lab tests occasionally (as advised by your doctor ). You can also discuss about your problems and concerns with your doctor. The sugar levels need not be checked every day if it is fairly controlled. Do not seek perfection. Read more from the internet about Diabetes and lifestyle changes to cope with diabetes ...more
