Dear Kkrao,
Probably you are suffering from dysthymia or recurrent major depressive disorder or bipolar depression. Talk to your doctor about the diagnosis so that either a mood stabiliser is added or antidepressant dose is increased or therapy is added.

Dear lybrate-user,
please visit your doctor often and discuss the changes you need to make. Both lamotrigine and fludac will be increased according to the assessment on that visit. In bipolar disorder. The mood changes from low to normal and high. At times, even mixed phase will be there. Accordingly the fludac will be increased or stopped, an anti-psychotic may be added for short term. Lamotrigine will be continuous for all phases of mood.

Dear, prescribed drugs are not antipsychotics, so you need to correct your knowledge regarding drugs and alcohol both.
Also, dear kuma have some faith in your doctor regarding the treatment.
Amitriptyline is a good drug.
Or you can take a second opinion frm other psychiatrist.
Take care.
