With uric acid at 7.9 mg/100 ml and having swollen great toe, means you have gout. In that situation along with anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs you need a drug to reduce uric acid. So you may start it. Also please avoid purine containing foods like red meat, organ meat and sea foods. Plus refrain from alcohol, sweetened aerated drinks (colas) and smoking. Thanks.

High uric acid diet includes alcohol,red meat,shrimp,prawns, canned food,tomatoes,dhal etc...Fluid intake is important....If there is redness /painful swelling use ice packs.. If feburic 40 MG hasn't helped u much,then need to increase the dose of it and probably an add on drug to it.

Feburic 40mg was taken once or twice a day???Any other medicines on frequent use?

It is not only uric acid that is the cause of pain. The nature of your knee pain indicates local knee issue. May be Your md are weak around knee and you have to avoid wear and tear injuries.
