cod liver oil is rich in vitamin A . Vitamins are good to boost immune system. However take it under supervision of doctor since overdose of any vitamin is dangerous.

Recommended doses of cod liver oil vary by manufacturer, but doses generally shouldn't exceed 30 milliliters (ml) a day of the oil itself.

Instead of cod liver oil take a cup of cow's milk (A2 milk) and sunlight at about 10.30 am for 15 to 20 minutes.

It is one of the best sources of omega 3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA), and it contains relatively high amounts of vitamin A and vitamin D. The exact concentration of nutrients in cod liver oil depends on the species of cod, or Gadus, the oil comes from. It should be taken in moderation only as excessive vitamin is also bad.

There are no set guidelines for cod liver oil intake, so most recommendations are based on safe intake levels of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin a and d. A common dose is often 1–2 teaspoons, but taking up to one tablespoon per day is usually safe.

Hello,
thanks for your query on Lybrate
"as" per your clinical history is concerned do take medication as suggested by your doctor, and to rule out any other causes do blood test (cbc with differential and rapid antigen test for malaria) and change medications as per test results.
Hope that helps.
