To reduce the uric acid levels in blood, you may need to limit intake of alcohol, sugary foods and reduce purine rich foods like meat, poultry, seafood and pulses. Vegetables such as cauliflower, asparagus, spinach, peas and mushroom also contain a lot of purines

Get in touch with your psychiatrist. Also for generalised anxiety disorder I would suggest you begin by making some lifestyle changes too. Start relaxation ecercises and mindfulness training activities. Cognitive behavior therapy is also very efficient in treating gad. Get in touch with a psychologist near you or online.

Dear Lybrateuser, - The dietary sources of folate are mainly green leafy vegetables such as spinach, asparagus, fenugreek leaves, sprouts, whole grains beetroot, non veg foods like salmon
- the best natural source of vit D is sunlight, exposure for 10-15 min daily is sufficient, other sources are organ meats, cheese, fortified milk & milk products, cereals, fish like salmon, mackeral, tuna
- also if levels are quite low then supplements along with diet would be required.

So please get that checked. You can continue taking folic acid. The other tablet mentioned is just a combination of multiple vitamins mineral and many ingredients. There is no proof that these ingredients do any benefit. You may stop that. But please remember tsh value, to be ...more

Homocysteine levels increase in the body when the metabolism to cysteine of methionine to cysteine is impaired. This may be due to dietary deficiencies in vitamin b6, vitamin b12, and folic acid.
Having elevated levels of homocysteine in the blood (hyperhomocysteinemia) is associated with atherosclerosis and blood clots.
You can't get homocysteine from your diet. It has to be made from methionine, another amino acid that is found in meat, fish, and dairy products. Vitamins b6 (pyridoxine...more
