It is progestin medication. Many uses- as natural hormone progesterone. The most commonly reported drug related adverse reactions menstrual irregularities, headaches, migraines, nausea, breast tenderness, bloating, and weight gain. The use of progestins, increased risk of blood clots.

dydrogesterone is a progesterone which helps to support PREGNANCY once you have conceived,but will not help you in getting pregnant .it's not randomly given to any patients,but to patients who have decreased levels of progesterone

Avoid taking a double dose if it’s already time for the second dose after that as it may lead to overdose of the drug.
in most cases you wont be able to process extra pills at once and the extra will just flush out of your system. but if you a strong medicine is prescribed ,then you should be cautious.

Progesterone may be used empirically upto 12 weeks of pregnancy anticipating luteal phase defect. Usually micronised progesterone (susten) 200 to 400 mg or dydrogesterone (duphaston) about 20 mg will be sufficient.
