These medicine would mask acid reflux till t time you take them. They don't treat your acid reflux problem. The time you stop taking them your problem would be worse than earlier. After two months of coming off of your medication there will be no signs of those chemicals in your system. These current symptoms do not seem to relate to the discontinuation off the medication and may be new problems for you. In fact the ringing in the ears is called tinnitus. Kindly visit the doctor again and describe your new symptoms. I also strongly advises you to meet with a counselor too and do some extensive work on your emotions and how to handle them.
