Multivitamins are not replacements for medications. Agreed that by diet and lifestyle modifications, you can reduce your BP to some extent. But if your BP still remains high you need to take your medicines. At 144/90 I may ask you to continue with diet and lifestyle routines for some more time. But you have to maintain strict diet and regular healthy lifestyle. But if your BP still remains high then you have to take your BP meds. At the same time you need to rule out certain underlying condition...more

Hypertension is a lifestyle disease which needs only lifestyle changes. No medicine is ever needed if your doctor treats the root cause. BP medicines can cause complications you should be aware of it. Ask your treating doctor and read about it to avoid new complications. What you are having now is a side effect of the medicine Doctors lack nutrition knowledge, have vested interests, do incomplete lab testing and do not give adequate dietary and lifestyle advice.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
It is good to see that both BP and blood glucose are fairly well controlled. Increase in microalbuminuria and creatinine suggests that kidney are getting affected mostly due to diabetes.
One of the group of drugs recommended for hypertension with diabetes is ACE-Inhibitors like Lisinopril, Enalepri or ARBs like Losartan, Telmisartan or Olmesartan etc. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
Usually with TSH < 10 mU/L, no treatment is advocated. However, if there are troublesome symptoms are present then treatment is given. In your case symptoms like constipation, fatigue and cold intolerance as well as weight increase are indicating that there is a need for treatment. Your BP is also not in good control (ideally with treatment it should be 120 to 130 / 70 to 80 mmHg). Thanks.

Few things regarding headache so that we can plan treatment accordingly 1) If pain is associated with blurred or decreased vision than check your eyesight for refractive error 2) If the pain is pulsatile in nature and with a throbbing pain usually with an aura than we have to rule out Migrane as the cause and 3) If the pain is associated with neck problems than we have to rule out cervical spondylosis as the cause 4) If the pain is associated with either a low or high BP or due to hyperacidit...more

Hello lybrate-user lal.
Start your day doing some exercises or yoga. If you are diagnosed as having seasonal affective disorder, getting outside particularly when the light is brightest can be beneficial to you. Eat well. Share your feelings with the closed ones and listen their feelings too. Practice mindfulness and relaxation exercises in your everyday life. As you are having problems in sleep, you must practice healthy sleeping habits like avoid taking caffeine before 6 hours of bedtime, ...more
