However, if you have a family history of diabetes and have excess weight, central obesity (waist more than 90 cms), having an inactive lifestyle, also habituated to alcohol or smoking, then there is a possibility of getting diabetes type 2. 1.Take bland diet, Avoid foods which cause acidity like spicy, oily, fatty and junk foods, onion, garlic, citrus fruit like orange grape, lemon, tomato,cucumber, raddish, vinegar, pickle etc
