Developed signs of early morning wakening with a feeling of heavy heart in 2014. Ignored for a year or so. Then the problem started worsening with more heavy heart with loud pounding beats very early in the morning. Then I failed depressed or sad/ worried during day time also at times. Consulted a psychiatrist in 4/2014 who prescribed cipralex. After 4 months he added lamitor 100. Felt some improvement gor 3/4 months and stopped cipralex of my own. The state of depression recurred back and went on to lamitor 200 but no improvement. In november 2017 consulted another psychiatrist who changed the medicine and prescribed paroxetine12. 5, divalproex 250 and mirtazapine15. Felt improvement after few days. Stopped divalproex after 3 months. Then tapered paroxetine and finally stopped in april 2018. I was feeling good now. But unfortunately the condition hit back in early august this year. Now I have started paroxetine 12.5 with clonazepam .5 and continued mirtazapine15. Though I have again felt some relief but I always wake up with heavy heart and worried. During day time also I get sad or anxious at times. please suggest. Further I have elevated Triglyceride level about 500 which I heard is due to mirtazapine. Is there any alternative for that. I am also hypertensive taking amlodipine5 from last 6 years.

I am 42 and have been on psychiatric medicines for long. For almost 5 years now I have been taking depakote 250, paliris 1.5 mg and buspin 5 mg. Initially I was on slightly higher dose but this reduced dose I have been taking since almost 2 years. I had depression but I really didn't have anythin serious as such but to mention a few years back I use excercise very vigorously and have a light diet coz of that I felt some kind of imbalance I guess. Now I am more stable, do only light walks and eat and sleep well. I am also happily married and well settled now. I am actually trying to stop these medicines and I was in consultation with my delhi doctor but now have moved from there. Docs here have told me to taper it down slowly but whenever I try to stop them completlely, which I tried several times, I get severe withdrawal symtoms. Bad headache and weakness. I guess since I have been taking these for so long I am not able to stop. Please suggest how do I stop these medicines as I feel very lethargic also because of them. Is there any alternative medicine which can be taken to prevent me from getting withdrarwal symptoms and stop the above medicines. Please help!

Medication will not teach you new skills to face life without them. If medicines have given you the opportunity to learn about life, then do take it and meet some psychiatrist for withdrawal management.

Hello madam,
do not take much medicines. But, any medicine you are taking, use the medicines regularly. Focus on your work you need to do. Focus on one activity and complete it .then after some rest period, you focus on another activity. Do some relaxation exercises. Be confident. Faith on god.

Accept that it is going to be difficult and you will not come out of it in an overnight - depression & anxiety are very poorly researched areas in the field of medicine. There is no definitive cure to this illness. Apart from that, depression is under-estimated. You will usually find people telling you to "not be depressed" or "ease down a bit" or "stay happy" when in reality it is very difficult, or rather, impossible to "not be depressed" or "to ease down" or "be happy" there is a very little ...more

1.use deep breathing
deep breathing is another effective way to relieve stress and anxiety. It helps you with physical symptoms such as shallow breathing and rapid heart rate, and it also helps with controlling your thoughts. When you practice deep breathing, you're forced to take your thoughts off of whatever is causing you anxiety and to focus on the breathing technique that you are using.

Hello, I am not very much convinced that you have complex partial seizures, the granuloma though in temporal region can induce seizures but the sequence is not suggestive at all according to the information you have posted. You can try a video eeg to further investigate the cause for same.
