Hello doctor. Good afternoon it's been 1 month that the patient started taking these medicines. But discontinued the same for 1 week due to some reason. Then symptoms like - confusion, fear,direction problems, etc. Started appearing. The side effects like - shivering, loss of appetite, drowsiness, weight loss, weakness etc are seen. Now again he started taking the same medicines from last 1 week. But the result is not very good. As it was dose - sertraline -50 mg divalproex - 500 mg donep m - 5 mg.

All medicines need to be taken for the time they have been given. Unlike other medications, we can not choose to reduce dosage or stop taking. That being said, finish the course and then go to psychiatrist to explain side effects. Sometimes side effects are maximum in the first week as body is readjusting to healthy levels.
