Dear lybrate-user, no he has had an allergic reaction to the vaccine. It is not advisable that he goes for the second dose. The reaction might be even worse the next time hence it is better he avoids the next dose. Good luck. You can consult me for more doubts and medications regarding this by clicking on my photo and clicking on the enquiry, however if you found my answer helpful, please leave a thanks /good feedback as it helps me with my practice. Good evening
delay for one to two week is normal. He can take the second dose vaccine as soon as possible.
First dose can produce antibody for 3 to 6 months.
So he need not to re start from first dose.
If he can take the vaccine within 3 months it will be counted as second dose.
For furthermore questions reply me.

Both are good. Better to take which vaccine is available to you. After vaccination he might complaints of fever ,bodyache and pain at the site of injection. Give him tab paracetamol for that. And if drink then ask him not to for 45 days. And take all the safety measures for covid i.e. Mask, hand sanitation and social distancing.
