Hi. Both the tablets that you have been prescribed are for anxiety disorder and not hypertension (high bp). It may be that since you are taking medicines the pulse rate is showing normal and if you discontinue it might increase.in your case I would advise you to continue medicine along with some counseling since you seem to have anxiety inspired of meds.

15 years is a long duration you will need to take antidepressants and anxiolytics for a good continuous course of atleast 1-2 years and if you have done that course already ,then you may need to have it a bit more longer than 2 years to become symptom free. The medicines that you have listed seem fine take either one prescription of any one doctor you will start feeling better.
But do it sincerely, a continuous intake of medicines is needed no drop outs help.

The headache could be due to multiple reasons. It could be a recent stress, any worry or anxious thoughts that are bothering you. Sometimes lack of adequate sleep can also be a trigger. Sometimes it might be a migraine. In such cases it is usually associated with nausea and irritability with excessive sound or light exposure. To deal with such headache, I would advise you ensure adequate sleep and food intake. Also it's better if you avoid any caffeine or chocolates especially in the night, and ...more

Dear Nitin,

All the medications you have been prescribed are approved for depression and anxiety . Your doses may need to be optimized for relief. In addition to medication you should try behavioral activation and cognitive behavioral therapy. Please talk to your doctor about it. Try to stick to one doctor and be very open about lingering symptoms. They will be able to help you out. Get well soon.

Hey lybrate-user. This sounds pretty stressful for you. Have you considered reaching out to a therapist? Medicines work on reducing your symptoms which is essential. But dealing with long standing depression and anxiety requires therapy. Therapy will help you address where these thoughts and feelings that trigger the anxiety and depression come from and process them in a safe environment. This makes the effect last longer because now you have the tools to manage them. Tell your psychiatrist how ...more
