Graves disease (hyperthyroidism) can be controlled with anti-thyroid drugs. Treatment has to continue for at least 12 to 18 months. After that if the gland function becomes normal, then treatment may be discontinued. But the condition may revert after certain time (many months or so). There is no complete cure. Thanks.

Please understand problems with thyroid gland are related to either hormone (thyroxine) excess - hyperthyroidism & Graves disease or less thyroxine -Hypothyroidism.
