You can always get a second opinion from another cardiologist, but if you have valvular pathology I think surgery should b the best treatment option. The various treatment options will be described best by a cardiologist. No need to panic. There are non invasive methods also. If you found my answer helpful, please leave a like/ thanks. Thank you.

1. Do saline gargles daily.
2. Whenever possible do steam inhalation also.
3. Cover your nose and mouth with hanky for at least 30 sec when you go in dusty areas also when you go in and out of ac. As our nose is the most sensitive part of our body, when there is temperature difference between two rooms or inside n outside, then if we not protect our nose, it gets affected.

Yes. You are diabetic. Its not necessary for both values to be raised. Also, your hba1c levels are high.
Kindly meet local physician or diabetologist for treatment.
Follow strict diabetic diet. If you do not exercise, try exercising regularly for atleast 30 mins daily.

I'm 37 year old male on bp meds since the age of 29, i've been on atenolol 50, nifedipine 10, amlodipine 5, currently on metoprolol succinate xl 50 and cilnidipine 10. I learnt from my personal experiences and also from web literature that beta blockers/calcium channel blockers can cause slow heart rate or bradycardia unlike angiotensin receptor blockers (arb' s) like telmisartan or thiazide diuretics such as hydrochlorothiazide or chlorthalidone. Can I switch from beta blockers to arb's with docs advice to negate the effects of beta blockers. What about celiprolol, carvedilol and pindolol? My last bp readings were, 130/90, 140/80 and 130/85 monitored every 7-10 days. I have undergone my lipid profile, kidney function, liver function and thyroid tests a month ago and everything seemed normal. I'm not diabetic and it doesn't run in the family as well. I do have allergic rhinitis from so many years for which I have tried levocetirizine, montelukast and fexofenadine meds as and when required. Also take placida plus for anxiety issues. I'm just asking this out of curiosity.

Hi curiosity is fine, but if you try googling each and every medication you will find something which your mind wants to find. What is best for you your doctors know better than you as the beta blockers which you have mentioned you have just googled them and have no idea regarding their efficacy potency or mortality benefit. You should know that not any beta blocker can be started as there is scientific evidence behind which one to start in a particular patient and this information sadly your go...more

I am a YOUNG MAN of 65 & have good sexual urge but unable to perform properly due to ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION. Although I get quite good Pre-Cum & Lubrication in the foreplay.I have this ED Problem since last about 8/10 years.Earlier I had been using Sildennafil 50 mg (on SOS basis only) and I could overcome the problem to a reasonable extent though it used to have some temporary side effects also. However since last about 2 years I am unable to get hardly any ERECTION with this tablet & even by watching porn etc.The quantity of EJACULATE has also reduced considerablly to about 4/5 drops only. Now coming to my MEDICAL CONDITION,I have ATRIAL FIBRILLATION & HYPERTENSION since last about 10 years but is under good control with medications like BETA BLOCKER (Presently using CARVISTAR 3.25 mg 1 BD & LANOXIN 0.25 mg half Tab OD 5 days a week) & BLOOD PRESSURE (TELMESARTAN 80 H) DRUGS.I had undergone TURP SURGERY in April, 2010 & the enlarged portion of PROSTATE was removed. Further I had also undergone CORONARY ANGIOPLASTY IN OCT,2012 for 1 blockage in 1 artery after which I am also on DUAL ANTI PLATLET THERAPY (ASPIRIN & CLOPIDUGERAL) and also STATIN for Cholestrol Control .Fortunately I am NOT DIABETIC so far and. I feel my ED problem though could partly be AGE RELATED but I think it is mainly due the above medications which I have been taking for so many years. Please let me know what is your DIAGNOSIS of my ED problem & can you prescribe any effective but safe medications in view of my CARDIAC CONDITION.My Cardiologist has advised NOT TO USE SILDENAFILL. Thanks & Regards.
