Two years ago I was diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency (lab test reading was 4) and my TSH reading was 6.5. My doctor advised me thyronorm 25 tablets and vitamin D sachets (calcirol). Since then I am taking thyronorm 25 regularly and vitamin D sachets. With the passage of time my vitD level improved and TSH reading was also improved to 2.5. As on date my vitD level is 70. Now I want to know that is taking thyronorm tablets necessary forever or can I get rid of it in any way?

I drink milk, eat curd and lot of other healthy foods but my bones are too weak, their are too much cracking noise come from my bones. When I sit a very loud sound come from my ankle and knee joints. Someone told me to use calcirol 1 packet in a week. I don't get any results. Please tell me what to do and suggest me some good medicines I am too worry about that.

I am 42 years old and having knee discomfort and also stiffness in body - there is no pain but feel less support is there in my knees. Few years back orthopedic doctor said I have calcium deficiency. If I take calcium pills, get stomach upset.. I do not take milk. So my condition is not improving. I am also taking calcirol 60 k sachet once in week for 6 weeks now as my vitamin d was 17.

there are stomach friendly preparations in calcium, even syrup is there
apart from this try reducing your weight and do some one exercises to reduce the symptoms in the knee
even a course of vitamin e and b12 will help to reduce your symptoms.

Hello doctor, I am 25 years old female, I am having upper arm upper thigh elbow and left side knee pain for past three months it occurs one after the other consulted Ortho doctor before 20 days he just told me that I need more Sunshine on me so I was suggested Lumia 2K tablet and I had advised from him that I should sit and walk in sunshine in the early morning for some time but still 40 % of the problem only have cured if I ask about the pain he said it is just a soft tissue problem I couldn't bear pain sometimes at the night time and sometimes after afternoon the pain aggravates as a dull ache. So what happened and what are the causes for knee pain and elbow pain and right side upper arm and upper thigh pain.

Multiple joint and muscle pains at tgis age group are very uncommon. As your doctor explained could be due to vitamin d deficiency. I would advice you check the vitamin d levels and if they are low you need to take high dose vitamin d supplements.
