It's important to discuss any concerns about medication, especially when it involves managing a condition like ocd (obsessive-compulsive disorder). Here's some general information about the medicines you mentioned:
fluvoxin (fluvoxamine): this is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (ssri) commonly used to treat ocd. Ssris are often the first line of treatment for this condition.
Restyl (alprazolam): this is a benzodiazepine, a type of medication typically used for anxiety or panic d...more

Hi lybrate-user
I will suggest you not to get dependent on medicines for solving your problems .do not make it habit of using medicine whenever you are feeling anxious or you want to get happy. I would not advice plain alprazolam (restyl), since it is habit forming if taken for a prolonged period. Please consult with a psychiatrist if you have any sleeping issues and those can be easily treated with other medicines which are given for a short course. There are also other medicines which can be used on sos basis for sleeping, if, yes, you can take it with a glass of milk.

Both are anti anxiety drugs .these group of medicines will have tolerance and with drawl reaction. Better you consult a psychiatrist or psychologist for your anxiety ,rather than self medicating.

Dear Satya,
The present question here is not showing a good concern of yours for someone else and you yourself. If your intentions are not good for someone , please don't do anything in Outrage. And if someone try this for you ,be aware and don't be depressed for such attempts. Be safe and keep everyone safe around you. Prevention is better than cure. It's our moral responsibility to avoid such groups where alcohol is being served and become dangerous in revenge. So don't give chance oth...more

If you are uncomfortable with a doctor for any reason, you can seek a second opinion. These symptoms must be reported to the doctor to see if it is because of the medication or because of any other medical reason you may have. The doctor will review the medication and dosage to make the necessary changes to affect a different response. I am also suspicious that you are not going for counseling too. If that is the case, you are depriving yourself of a very important parallel support to recovery. ...more
