reduce intake of potassium rich foods like citrus fruits like oranges and lemon, amla or Indian gooseberry, bananas, dates etc. coconut water has potassium but compensation through other important ingredients. take it if you like. There's no medicines for lowering potassium. avoid diuretic of spironolactone type
other diuretic do bring down potassium but it's not a suggestion. drink lots of water and do monitor the levels of potassium. if range is very high, do consult your doctor

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
With a BMI of 37.89 kgs/M2 you close grade 3 obesity (morbid obesity). This is the main reason for your high BP and the need for various medications.
Doing half an hour walk and 15 minutes of yoga (?) is not at all enough. You will have to seriously look at reducing at least 5 to 8% of your current weight. With weight reduction your BP will also come down towards the expected level of 130/80 mmHg
Please look at your diet and exercise and try an...more

Please see a breast surgeon. They would examine you and if needed do a mammogram or an ultrasound. The most common cause of breast lump in a male is gynaecomastia. It is usually pubertal in young males and it regresses spontaneously.
It could also be due to hormonal imbalance between testosterone and estrogen or increased prolactin level. The cause of imbalance is mostly drugs like anabolic steroids, some antiandeogenic drugs, antipsychotics, diuretics like spironolactone, omeprazole etc. Al...more

Dytor plus contains spironolactone which if taken with few blood pressure tablets like ace inhibitors (ramipril, lisinopril) or arb (telmisartan, olmesartan), serum potassium may increase.
So let me know more details about your medications.
For further information and advise you may book an online consultation with me on Lybrate. Thank you. Take care.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Madam Spironolactone is used in PCOD to reduce absorption of androgens (testosterone) and reduce symptoms associated with that like male pattern of hair growth. It is usually given along with birth control pills. As regards Levothyroxine I am sure you have been already taking it to control TSH, hence it has to be continued in the same dosage. If you have any questions please do come back.Thanks.
