I am 29 years old and I had some weakness problem. I had very difficulty in doing night shift as my eyes pained (also heavier eye dark circles) and the whole next day I sleep. It induces me sleepiness. Recently I took vitamin and mineral health supplement which has reduced my eye pain (also eye dark circle) and not feeling energy loss throughout day and now I easily do night shift. I want to ask, is it because of some weakness in me and what should I do more to overcome it.

Thanks for the query. The important thing to understand is that your needs are different due to the odd hours. The body needs certain nutrients at different times of the day and depending on the activities done. It is important to know that just eating two heavy meals a day will not fulfill your nutrient needs. Most often we skip meals especially when at work or in college. We start our day on empty stomach but our work or stress or activity is never reduced. This causes weakness and lack of energy levels. Food is our source of energy and if you don't eat well as per your needs you are going to get deficient in many nutrients. So, start by eating the right foods at the right time. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Have an early dinner. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits in your meals especially late at nights as mid meals.  Have a light and healthy breakfast in the mornings. Avoid excessive tea or coffee. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Sleep well.    Exercise at least thrice a week. Supplements are not a long term remedy. The fact that it's feeling good means that you are very low in terms of nutrients which is not a good sign. Take care of your intake in order to maintain a more sustained health. The moment you stop supplement you will go back to old feeling of low health.

Gargling with warm salt water is an effective way to treat a sore throat. Salt can even help kill the bacteria or virus causing pharyngitis. 1. Mix three teaspoons of salt (preferably sea salt) in two cups of warm water. 2. Gargle with this solution. Do not swallow it. Spit the water out after gargling. 3. Do this several times daily for one to two days. Get back to me privately for its treatment and cure.

Mr Praveen, If one has pre diabetes, then a modified life style has to be adapted, which means : exercise regularly for more than 1 hour a day, avoid excess sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods and pastries. Avoid smoking and alcohol, maintain normal weight, consume more of green leafy vegeables and fruits. Avoid sweetened aerated drinks and fructose corn syrup containing products. These thing followed regularly can help one remain free from diabetes.

Hi, I see that you are a little overweight accordance to your height and age. Try to reduce some weight by doing some changes in your diet. Mean while when you are lifting any heavy objects try not to bend your back directly and lifting the object. Whenever you are lifting any weight you have to bend your knees, do not bend your back this will reduce the pressure on your back.

Possibly it is aortic pulsation, which is not abnormal. Thin person when feels like that it may not be abnormal. But with your height & weight it is not usual. Please get yourself examined by a cardiologist and get one usg abdomen done to exclude any aneurysm in abdominal aorta or any mass in front of aorta.

Workout and diet. Burning more calories than you consume is the key. Exercise for 45-60 minutes and follow a strict diet. Diet is the main focus after workout. -in the morning, take one glass hot lemon water with honey 8: 00 a. M. -take light breakfast like, poha/upma/plain idli /sandwich with one glass milk10: 00 a. M. -eat one fruit like banana/melon/apple 12: 00 -have butter milk and then take your meal.(eat either steamed rice or chapati, not both and eat lesser than you normally eat.) 2: 00 p. M. -take green tea 4: 00 p. M. -eat roasted chana/ khakhra, one digestive or marie biscuit with tea/coffee/bournvita/proteinex (you may add sugar if you feel the need) 6: 00 p. M. -eat dinner like boiled vegetables/baked vegetables/soup /khichdi (idea is to take dinner 3-4 hours before bed time) 8: 00 p. M. If you are starving with this diet, you can add few more healthy foods, but keep a gap of two hours in each. You may redo the timings with the same gap, according to your schedule.

I suggest you follow the below for your condition: take mag phos 6x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks and update. Also do x-ray of the affected area. Heat and ice packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately. You have to stop bike-riding. Take a morning walk daily for 30 minutes.

Hi lybrate-user- incorporate more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains into your diet while eliminating unhealthy foods. - if you are working or studying away from home, try to pack healthy lunch and snacks for yourself to avoid eating unhealthy food daily. - don't eat straight from the packet - use a plate or bowl to control how much you eat. - don't delay or skip meals. - cut down your consumption of aerated drinks and sodas. - drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. Drink water after waking up and before sleeping. Being dehydrated may make you feel like you're hungry, so it is important to stay hydrated. - have homemade fruit and vegetable juices - eat 5-6 small healthy meals every 2-3 hours, every day, instead of having a few big ones. This regulates your blood sugar level and your metabolism. - don't skip breakfast, instead, make it rich with complex carbohydrates and proteins, so it can provide you with energy to get through the day. Try to include the following as your morning breakfast, oats porridge, eggs on multigrain toast or daliya with sprouts. - avoid artificial sweeteners in processed foods. - eat slowly as it takes about 20 minutes for your brain to register if you're full or not. Eating too fast leads to overeating, so chew slowly to digest your food better and control how much you eat. - use a smaller plate to control your portion sizes and avoid overeating. - know your cravings and do not snack when you're emotional. It is said that you crave crunchy and savory food when you're stressed, frustrated or lonely. Figure out what you crave and replace them with healthier alternatives. - do not eat mindlessly; concentrate on your food instead of watching tv or playing with your phone to avoid overeating. - do surya namaskar 10 times daily to reduce extra fat from body

It is frequent not to get periods till breast feeding stops, so just get a preg test done, and if negative not to worry. Use condom with today spermicidal tablets every time you hv sex.

Foods That Can Delay Your Periods

For most women, though periods are essential, they are not a pleasant experience. The bleeding is often accompanied by bloating, pain in the abdomen and thighs, weakness etc. that can make her feel uncomfortable along with mood swings and irritability. It gets worse if your periods happen to clash with travel plans, holidays or important events like a marriage or social function. Thankfully, there are natural ways to delay the onset of one’s periods. Eating some types of food can help speed up the menstrual cycle while others can help delay the next period. Here are some foods you could try if you want to delay your next period.

  1. Lentils: Lentils can help delay a period and can also help reduce the amount of bleeding. It also helps reduce menstrual complications. To benefit from it, you must consume a cup of lentils on a daily basis. Roast the dried lentils and then grind the lentils to a fine powder. This powder can then be mixed with water to form a soup.
  2. Lemons and Vinegar: The acidic nature of lemon and vinegar can help delay the onset of your periods. It also helps remove toxins from the body and brings a glow to your face. You could simply chew a slice of lemon to delay your periods or drink a glass of water with a tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar twice a day. This should ideally be had on an empty stomach in the morning and just before going to bed.
  3. Parsley: Herbs not only add flavour to our food but also have medicinal value. Parsley is excellent not only for digestion but also to delay menstruation. Steep a handful of parsley leaves in half a litre of water for approximately 20 minutes. Strain this solution and drink the tea while still warm. This should be repeated twice or thrice a day for approximately a week before your periods begin. Parsley tea may be a little bitter and to make it more appealing you could add a little honey to the tea.
  4. Avoid Spicy Food: Spicy foods increase the body’s internal temperature. This leads to the production of more oestrogen that can quicken the menstrual cycle. Eliminating spices such as pepper, chillies, garlic, jalapenos, paprika etc. from your diet can help lower the body’s internal temperature and reduce the production of oestrogen thereby delaying the onset of your next period. If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult a dietitian-nutritionist.

Since it is since 14 years as you told. It is most probably a nevus depigmentosis or segmental vitiligo. Means like birth mark with white patch and white hair. It can be completely cured with surgical method along with few topical creams.

If you have some doubt for pregnancy after unprotected Sexual intercourse then do urine pregnancy test done. May be bleeding due to implantation If test will negative then don't worry about pregnancy and wait for 2 or 3 days for regular cycle.
