Your hypothyroidism won't affect baby. Pcos patients have difficulty in conceiving. But most of them do conceive with medicines or other procedures. Once conception takes place, pcos doesn't harm baby.

Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
Thyroid gland affects nearly every organ in the body. Many nutritional factors play a role in optimizing thyroid function. However, both nutrient deficiencies and excesses can trigger or exacerbate symptoms. Working in collaboration with a both a physician and a registered dietitian is essential to determine nutritional status for optimal thyroid health. Improper thyroid function causes undesired weight changes, significant cardiovascular risks, and symptoms such as fatigue, mood changes, and gastrointestinal upset, which can hinder the development of healthful behaviors. I focus on setting realistic goals for healthy changes and regular exercise when counseling clients. There many potential nutrient deficiencies and interactions with medications and supplements. Hence diligent care is to be taken while designing a holistic treatment plan. I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. I will also suggest home remedies. Do reply back for private consultation for rx.

You are not expected to discontinue your present treatment since it may harm u. We would advise that parallel treatment as supporting herbal combos may be started. Seeing the response over about 4-5 weeks we may increase the herbals. These are harmless and no counteraction with your current medication. Only some 1 hr gap to be maintained between allopathy and ayurveda. If agreed revert back. It may check neuropathy and other complications

I am 47 yrs old female. 9months ago my sugar level was 465-160 and wrigt was 68kg. Now my sugar level is in normal range and weight 51kg. Now I consume 1pcs metadose 850 ipr and amway daily. Now my problem is body weakness. Energyloss. I have no power to cook or home work.

MD - Pulmonary Medicine, MBBS
Pulmonologist, Pune
Hello, as you said your sugar level and weight both are under control, there is no worry about that. But worry is about side effects of metadose tablets. It can cause sugars to go down or lactic acidosis. So be sure about these side effects and check your sugar regularly. If sugar is low, then dose of metadose tablet must be reduced. Also check your abg to find out acidosis. Second thing is check your daily calorie intake. If you are having less calories, you may feel weak and dizzy. One of the above tests will find out your problem.
