Hi, thanks for the query. Firstly understand that weight gain is very dependent on genetics and metabolism. Exercise on its own will not help gain weight. Diet plays about 80% of role in weight gain and muscle repair. In fact if your diet is not good exercise will only help breakdown muscle mass. It is important to know that just eating just two heavy meals a day will not help. Eating the right foods at the right time is very important. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Exercise at least thrice a week. Even if you were to take medicines or supplements they will not work in isolation you need to have a calorie and nutrient dense meal.

I don't seem to gain weight. I've tried mostly everything from balanced high carb and fat diet to taking weight gainers. Nothing works for me. I'm 5 feet 8" and weigh a mere 48.5 kilograms (with clothes). Kindly suggest me some plans or medicines that can help me with this. Also, although I drink a lot of water, probably 6-7 liters everyday, but I never feel thirsty. Sometimes I could go on for days with maybe just a glass or two in a day. Is that bad! Thanks in advance.

Hi lybrate-user, glad that you asked this question. Some times the metabolism in the system is very fast. So you don't gain weight easily. Eat frequently. Also take up weight training to build on your muscles. Include a lot of protein rich foods in your diet like fish, grilled chicken, eggs, sprouts, nuts and oilseeds, paneer post the workout. You are still 22 years, in a year or two with hormonal changes things should fall in place. All the bes.

Hi here are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit. Hi, do regular exercise. Take 2 banana with warm milk in the morning and evening. Eat soaked dry grapes or dates soaked in warm milk overnight include protein rich food in your diet like soyabean sattu with milk and milk products and sprouts, eggs, combinations of cereals and pulses, take healthy and heavy breakfast, no drink before meals. 10 Ways To Prevent Spreading Hepatitis C

People with hepatitis C often worry about passing the virus on to loved ones unknowingly, especially if they have just been diagnosed. For the record, you can only catch the virus through blood ? not through coughing, sneezing, kissing, hugging, shaking hands, sharing eating utensils, etc. In other words, everyday contact is pretty risk-free; however, since hepatitis C is a virus that can be transmitted through blood, it?s important to follow the necessary precautions. Here are 10 tips from the American Liver Foundation to help protect yourself and others.


1. Never share razors, toothbrushes, nail clippers or filers (especially if you get manicures and pedicures) or anything else that might have your or someone else?s blood on it.
2. Always make sure that your open wounds, cuts and sores are completely covered.
3. Avoid donating blood, organs, tissue or sperm/semen.
4. Be extra careful when throwing anything away with blood on it, including feminine products, tissues, bandages, or anything for that matter.
5. As far as sex goes, it?s pretty rare for hepatitis C to be transmitted through intercourse believe it or not, but it?d still be wise to use condoms to protect yourself and your partner from HIV/AIDS and other STIs out there.
6. If tattoos and piercings are your thing, always make sure the shop you attend is licensed and the equipment used is 100 percent sterile. The same advice applies to acupuncture since the practice involves needles.
7. Breastfeeding is safe, but do not breastfeed if the nipples are cracked and/or bleeding.

Hi lybrate-user. You must join gym first, after 6 to 7 month you must think for proteins. Unroll just go with natural protein like chicken, eggs, milk, milk products bla bla. When you going to start pumping your body by picking high weight, muscle get teared, this tear of muscle enrich with satellite bodies moving insight of our body in the form of proteins. So basically habitual your self with natural proteins and low weight, make habits of exercise then think for weight lifting and putting body mass. Thanks.

First you should follow low calories food for weight loss. * in morning, take 1-2 chapattis with a bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of lemon water with it *in lunch you can take a bowl of raw vegetables like carrot, radish, tomatoes, turnip or beetroot. *in evening, you can take a cup of green tea only with some pieces of friuts like apple, pineapple, pear. Avoid taking banana or mango. *in dinner, you can take vegetable soup or a bowl of cooked vegetables. But do not take potato, sweet potatoes. * you can take a cup skimmed milk 4 times a week only during day time. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. Follow these exercises in the morning - * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories and the calories deposit in body in the form of weight if not utilised. * you can take medohar guggalu 1 tablet daily for quick weight loss but only under the guidance of ayurveda expert.
