To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2. Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow this regimen and you will soon start seeing the results.

Hye. Usually you would decide to take creatine supplementation to improve workout. Now, it all depends on YOUR definition of "workout" Just because you join the gym and pick a few weights or you want to grow muscles or gain weight does not justify taking creatine supplementation. Our body naturally creates creatine phosphate, and uses it as our "immediate energy system" This energy system is used during high-intensity, short duration bouts of exercises, such as: 40-100 meter sprint, first few reps of a power/heavy lift. In this case, taking a creatine supplement can benefit your intense training bouts, and help recovery in between sets. Creatine would help you with your cardio if and only if you were performing HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), as this type of cardio requires high amounts of effort/energy, and utilizes glycolysis as well as your immediate (creatine phosphate) energy system. Creatine is designed to deliver more "pump" to the muscle thereby increasing muscular endurance. Be active and be doing some physical work when ever negetive thoughts come. you can not develop the habbit in a day but if you persist you can overcome by being active. divert your mind towards the yoga, meditation and attend some personality development programmes for improving your self estime. believe in the God almighty and have regular prayer and develop the habit of visiting temples and leave all your negetive thoughts with him and ask him for solace. if you are a student, concentration on studies and allow the brain to wander on to unnecessary things. if you are working, concentrate on the work on hand and donot bother about other things. with concentration and hard work get good standing in your choosen field to have self satisfactionwhich will enhance your ego.

Hello, lybrate-user. First of all, your weight gain should happen gradually. As this will give your body time to adjust with the changes and allow it to maintain the newly achieved weight for longer time. Second, take balanced & nutritious diet, plenty of fluids, avoid foods and drinks higher in calorie and empty of nutrients, do regular physical exercise, eat in small amount but frequently, have 8 hrs. Sound sleep. Last but not the list, you should consult with a dietician to get detailed diet chart according to your need.

Dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. Or take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening for strong digestive system. Or you can take amla powder 1 teaspoon with water for strong digestion. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. Dear Lybrate User, Increasing weight does not mean that you will go fatty. In fact, extra fat serves as a precursor of many diseases. In order to increase your weight as well as stay healthy you have to increase the muscle mass of your body. Normally a muscle undergoes an increase in size when it gets hypertrophied due to weight training. Weight-training leads to the pumping of blood to the muscle resulting in increased protein synthesis in the muscles. This applies to every muscles of human body. So, weight training is a must to increase weight. Whenever a muscle gets hypertrophied it demands protein to expand. Here comes the need of protein supplement. The most effective protein supplement is WHEY protein. But kindly remember only taking supplement is not enough. You need to take those supplements according to a fixed schedule. For quicker & better results take 40 grams of whey just after waking from sleep at morning. Take another 20 grams of whey just 30 minutes before workout. Weight gain is muscle gain and not fat gain. In your condition your energy requirement is very high so whatever you eat is used as a source of energy and you do not make muscle. To gain muscles you will have to eat at least 6 meals (high calorie) in a day at a regular interval with a proper ratio of proteins and carbohydrates. Proteins will help you gain body mass while carbohydrates will help you give energy. Protein foods are eggs, fish, chicken, milk and milk products, meat and dals. Carbohydrate foods are roti and rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes. You have to eat vegetables and fuits and use healthy and good fats for cooking like ghee, cold pressed mustrad or til oil. You will also have to do some weight training exercise to help you build mass into the body. Also drink enough water to keep you hydrated.
