Preliminary symptoms of jaundice------------------ 1. It is likely to have a yellow look to the skin and the whites of the eyes------------- 2. Yellow mucous membranes in the mouth and nose.------------ 3. Stools (faeces or poo) can be pale in colour and urine dark yellow in colour.------------------ 4. A physical examination will be carried out to look for signs of swelling of the liver and legs, ankles or feet-------------------- gaining weight is as difficult as losing it, if you are naturally thin. Skinny people complain that they can't put on any weight. If you want to build up weight, don't just eat high-calorie junk foods and rely on unnecessary supplements. Choose foods that are energy-dense and nutrient-dense whenever possible. Following are some tips to follow to increase your weight. You will take some time to gain the weight you need, but be patient.------------------ 1. If you have a rapid metabolism, then you must increase your daily intake of healthy foods (increase your intake of carbohydrates) to compensate for the rate at which you burn energy. Eat six smaller meals a day you should also eat more energy dense foods like healthy oils, dry fruits, seeds, nuts, pulses, etc. Along with some starchy foods like potatoes, cereals, bread, pasta, rice, etc.-------------- 2. Consume more calories than you burn. Choose healthy calorie-dense food to add calories. Drink healthy beverages to add calories. Mangoes are rich in calories and carbohydrates, include them in your diet.------------ 3. Eat healthy food frequently, 5-6 times a day - 3 larger meals and 3 smaller meals alternately. Separate them by at least 3 hours so you can digest each meal fully. Don't go without food for 5-6 hours after having a major meal. For example, if you wish to consume 3000 calories a day, you may eat 3 larger meals of about 650 calories and 3 smaller meals of about 450 calories.------------ 4. Have a balanced diet.--------- 5. Exercise regularly for putting on weight. Some thin people think that exercise is not good for them. This is not true, it keeps the metabolism high. Remember that eating alone is not sufficient. You don't want to gain fat but lean mass, so exercise is important. Resistance training exercises will help to increase your muscle mass, which in turn will increase metabolism. Learn to distinguish between weight gaining exercises and weight loss exercises. Note that if you do not get enough amino acids during exercise, the existing muscle may break down. Amino acids come from protein foods so you should eat such foods after exercise. Keep in mind that excessive exercise without putting back the energy you have used will not help you to put on weight.-------------

Dear, you can easily gain weight by following simple and very important tips: 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. Or take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening for strong digestive system. Or you can take amla powder 1 teaspoon with water for strong digestion. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. I am sending the diet chart. Weight gain is a scientific process and depends on many factors such as genetic, hormonal imbalance, previous weight records and many more. To gain weight it's important to eat balanced diet with enough of carbs, good fat & protein in your diet. Try to include high calorie food in between your main meals such as dark chocolates, cakes, nuts, cheese, sweetened beverages, shakes etc. Do take good quality protein sources in your every meal such as milk & milk products, soy & sprouts, lean meat, eggs, pulses, sprouts, soy. Include more of nuts & dairy products in diet. Avoid junk food.

Stop eating fried, high fat and junk food. Eat more of fruits and vegetables (have 5 fruits of different colours daily). Eat high protein foods like low fat milk and its products, eggs etc.

Dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. Now raise your arms upwards together with back straight, now move your hands towardstoes of feet and touch them. Your forehead touching your knees. Slowly revert back the arms and move back arms in normal position. Repeat this exercise 2-4 times daily. You can privately consult me for understanding more exercises. Dear lybrate user, you need to take homoeopathic carbo veg 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach. You can also try homoeopathic liver tonic liv-t (sbl company). Take 20 ml of the aforesaid liver tonic, thrice daily, after meals. Try to drink as much water as you can drink daily. Try to get an uninterrupted sleep of minimum 8 hours.

Hi lybrate-user WEIGHT GAIN It is not a good idea to eat mega-meals at fast food joints or high- in- fat foods to gain weight. An effort like this will increase your body fat, putting you at risk for health problems. Rather work on improving the quality of your diet. Focus on eating healthy, growing strong and staying fit. Try eating six small healthy meals per day. Include 2 to 3 servings of fruits and vegetables in the day. Drink juice and smoothies made with milk and fresh fruit. Snack on dried fruit and nuts and high-fiber savories. If you are an exerciser, eat before and after workouts, and keep yourself hydrated. Here are some ideas: •Use whole fat dairy products such as whole milk, regular cheese and yogurt, cottage cheese. •Modify Cooking: Experiment by adding almonds to salads, cashews to a trail mix, or granola to yogurt. •Use "Extras" Try mixing in Ovaltine or almonds with a glass of milk. Add dried fruit or granola to yogurt. Mix in nuts, such as cashews or almonds to salads, trail mixes or cottage cheese. •Increase portion size gradually: Slowly try to increase the overall volume of the food at each meal, starting with one meal. Amod 1st thing improve your digestive system by digesting your indigested food in the body..so walk regularly for good metabolism.. Drink warm milk with honey before sleeping... Take high protein diet.. Maximum intake of fruit juices and mixed nuts.. Avoid smoking if you do.. Take sleep after meal.. take aayurvefic chitrakadi bati tablet after meal.. U seem to be having post viral fatigue. Weakness is due to viral infection. Have healthy diet esp protein rich. Drink plenty of liquids. Take adequate rest. Multivitamin could be helpful. Hope u recover soon.

You are just 20 years old and you can definitely achieve the fit body with good amount of muscle tissue. Smoking does effect your health in lot of ways. Quit smoking to have a healthy life. However, the healthy way of putting on weight is good diet and exercise. Now, you should focus on what you are eating. Increase your protein intake and good fats. Avoid fried foods and sweets. Take more protein rich foods such as eggs, fish, lean meat, soya chunks, paneer, curds. You should aim at increasing weight through proper diet rich in multiple sources of protein, complex carbs, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals. You should consult a health coach/nutritionist for getting a proper advise on how to increase your weight in the right way. The weight increasing supplements that are usually marketed on tv and media have lot of carbs and sugars, which increase your weight by the way of increasing your fat percentage, which is not the right thing to do.
