As a penicillin antibiotic, Myclav tablet helps in treating bacterial infections. It interferes with the synthesis of cell wall in bacteria and stops it from growing. This drug helps in treating infections of the lungs and airways, skin, middle ear, sinuses, and the urinary tract.

You should not use this drug if you are allergic to any penicillin based antibiotic. This medication can make birth control pills less effective so ask your doctor about using non hormonal birth control to prevent pregnancy during the treatment.
