Endometrial ablation is a surgery used in treating excessive menstrual activities so that the affected person can have a normal menstrual cycle. In this procedure, the lining of the uterus is destroyed which causes a reduction in the menstrual flow. It may also completely stop the menstrual flow in some women. The process can be carried out in an outpatient facility or in the doctor’s office.
HOW IS ENDOMETRIAL ABLATION DIAGNOSED?
In some cases, hysteroscope (a light viewing instrument) is used to check the interior region of the uterus.
