A bowl of granola can make your breakfast delicious. It provides 500 calories, since it has enough nuts, oats, sugar and healthy fats which are sufficient for increasing body weight. To make it tastier, add some fruits, thick yogurt and drizzle it with honey.

Dear you are so health conscious. But you are little late, Accumulation of Fat STARTS on lower body and gradually it comes to abdomen area. If you want to lose belly Fat you should go with 8-10 kg weight loss. Avoid HIGH CALORIE DIET. Eat Less and Frequent meal. We’ve heard over and over again that weight loss is important in managing PCOS and that diet and exercise are more effective than medications in improving your PCOS symptoms 1. Eat organic food. Avoid junk. 2. Drink lots of water. 3. Exercise regularly. Brisk walking is a good idea to keep weight under control. 4. Visit nature places and spend time alone. 5. Take steps to calm your mind. Worrying about the problem can only make it worse – listen to music, read or spend time gardening. Butterfly Pose can be very helpful in PCOS. Don’t flap your legs too much; instead try holding the posture for long. 1. Even more helpful is SuptaBadhakonasana (Reclining Butterfly Pose), which works just like the Butterfly Pose, this time lying down. This is what makes it extremely relaxing. To enhance the experience, play some soft music and place cushions under your hip. For beginners, it is a good idea to use cushion support while doing this posture. 2. Bharadvajasana (Bharadvaja’s Twist) is a seated spinal twist that helps PCOS patients. 3. Chakki Chalanasana (moving the grinding wheel) is a very simple exercise with several benefits. It helps massage the liver, kidneys, pancreas, uterus and the reproductive organs. 4. Shavasana (Corpse Pose) is another useful posture to try. In PCOS, the more you relax, the better you feel and this posture will help you completely relax at the end of your yoga session. 5. Padma Sadhana practice is also considered very effective for PCOS patients. 6. Make sure you don’t hold the postures that put pressure on the abdomen (Bow Pose, Superman Pose, Cobra Pose and Boat Pose) for a long time. 7. A few rounds of Sun Salutation at a faster pace can be good for weight loss; however, it is a good idea to practice only a few slow rounds daily for more relaxation.

Hello doctor. I am 20 years old and weigh approximately 73 kgs. I want to reduce my weight to 50 KGS. please could you help me with a diet chart. And suggest me whether taking medicines for weight loss is harmful to the normal working of the body.

Yes taking medicines for weight loss are harmful and so are some of the diet supplements. At 20 your target should be to reduce weight @5 kg per month. You will see sudden loss in first month, may be less in next month, don't get discouraged, after 3rd moth weight loss will be rapid and stable. Do join a gym and take help from a qualified instructor, eat everything healthy but no charts, because being conscious of weight loss will not help you, make it a habit to eat a list of items and to avoid other list of not to eat. Cut down on fats to bare minimum but do take healthy fats like a spoon of honey added to lemon juice and warm water, every morning on empty stomach plus eat a spoon of desi ghee or butter and a katori of assorted nuts everyday. Eat lots of seasonal vegetables and fruits plus eating according to constitution. Take one meal of daal roti chawal but no in between beinging. Do weigh yourself only once a week and don't be obsessed with body.

Who Can Go For Tummy Tuck?

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, M.Ch - Plastic Surgery, Fellowship In Aesthetic Surgery, MRCS

Who Can Go For Tummy Tuck?

Stuck with extra flab that does not seem to go away, or simply trying to hide the sagging skin after losing tons of weight? Whatever the reason, a tummy tuck is a cosmetic means of fixing that unsightly area of your abdomen that many people have trouble with. While exercise and diet may all be good in theory, there are many circumstances that may require this kind of surgical intervention, which is also known as abdominoplasty in medical terms. Read on to know more about it.

  • Ideal Candidates:Who is the best candidate for this kind of procedure? To begin with, women have a hard time achieving a taut tummy especially after a few pregnancies. They can easily make use of this kind of procedure in order to have the excess flab removed surgically. Also, men and women who were once obese and still have rings of excess fat deposits around this region as well as loose skin due to sudden weight loss, can use this procedure. The people who want to go in for this kind of surgery will also need to be in good health condition in order to qualify for the same.
  • Not so Ideal Candidates:If you have been pregnant before and are planning another pregnancy, then you may want to wait before having this surgery as the vertical muscles that are tightened during the surgery can be separated due to pregnancy and child birth again, which will reverse the effects of the surgery. Also, it should be the last resort after you have tried myriad weight loss measures. Further, people who are suffering from conditions like diabetes and cardiovascular diseases should have a talk with the doctor about the safety of such a procedure first.
  • Types of Abdominoplasty:There are two kinds of abdominoplasty. The first kind of called complete abdominoplasty. In this procedure, the surgeon will cut open the abdomen from one hip to another, and then carry out contouring of the skin, tissue and muscle as per the requirement of the patient. In this procedure, the belly button of the patient will also be moved and drainage tubes may be inserted for a few days. The other kind is partial abdominoplasty which is basically done for people who have fat deposits under their navel. The procedure is short and does not require belly button movement.
  • Preparation:One should be careful not to smoke or drink before the procedure and to keep a stack of loose clothing and ice packs ready for later.

Talk to your doctor in detail regarding complications and the aftermath so that you are better able to take care of yourself after the surgery.
