When I wake up from bed my back starts paining very badly. What should I do? Please advise.
Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Back exercises. Many people go to physiotherapists with back pain. Here are two exercises that help to relieve pain and reduce stiffness in the back: •Dear, 1. Lie on your back with both of your legs straight. In this position, bring your left knee up close to your chest. Hold this position for 10 seconds. Return your leg to the straight position. Repeat with the right leg. •2. Stand up with your arms on your side. Bend to the left side while slowly sliding your left hand down your left leg. Come back up slowly and relax. Repeat with the right side of your body.

For pain take tablet paracetamol 650 mg and do exercise regularly and also take Tablet folvite 5mg once a day for six months and tablet vitamin D3 60000iu once a week for six months

This back pain is due to no back exercise. Due to this muscle get stiff. When suddenly you get move fast that time this stiff muscle get break and pain start. In ayurved there is mentioned one procedure kati basti. Do this for five days with medicated oil if you want to do it you should do it under doctor observation. So consult ayurvedic doctor near you. You will definitely get good result.

My mother is 72 years old. She is suffering from knee pain from last 5/6 years. What should I do?

This could be due to oa knee &/or obesity. Physiotherapy along with medicines will help. Do knee exercises. It may have to be further investigated rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with a soft bedding on it. Any way take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan.

Hi lybrate-user, post chicken pox effect will take some months to have proper recovery. Before fully recovery you performed dancing so knee pain took place. Though it was degenerative disease weakening your systems, so you are to take some nutrition along with expose to cold. Physical exhaustion and aerobic exercise causes pain. Try to take rest with good diets. Ok.

Hi Lybrate user, one of the reason for pain is tightness of the shoes you have to wear a shoe according to the correct size otherwise there will be insufficiency of blood and oxygen. Wear shoes and socks that fit and give your toes plenty of room. Wrap a couple of ice packs in thin T-shirts or paper towels, then place them under and on top of your feet. Fill bucket with cold water and another one with comfortably hot water. Dip your feet in the cold for five minutes, then switch over to the hot. After another five minutes, switch back continue it for half hour. When your toes rest on top of each other, can cause discomfort due to friction.
