Many patients see improvement or complete reduction of many symptoms with conservative measures which can be tried at home. Warm baths bathing in tubs with warm water alleviates pain and severity of piles. Ice can also relieve the pain of acute thrombosis. The sitz bath can be tried for symptom relief. Sitz bath is done by sitting in a bowl of warm water to which salt is added. It is usually done for about 20 to 30 minutes twice or thrice a day. High fiber diet a high fiber diet includes more than 25 g of fiber per day. Many hemorrhoidal symptoms reduce when dietary changes are made. Addition of fiber supplements to already existing diet is a good plan. Toilet habit retraining and stool softeners patients should sit on the toilet seat only for the time required to evacuate the lower bowels. Persistent straining or prolonged sitting can lead to increased size of hemorrhoids. Stool softeners can be taken to soften stools if there is hard stools which can cause undue straining while going to toilet. Topical agents topical ointments and creams can be used to decrease itching and inflammation. Topical hydrocortisone can reduce some symptoms of piles but prolonged use is not recommended. Adequate water intake. Patients suffering from hemorrhoids should take adequate amounts of water which can ease the passage of stools.

Smoking has been always associated with gastritis. So I would recomend you to quit smoking as you atr smoking only 4 cigrattes a day so quittung should be very easy for you. Other than this what you can do is change your dietry habits. Eat food which will make your stool soft in nature like lots of salads. You can eat apple which will also help you a lot and drink plenty of water. This is the natural ways you should can try. But I can precribe you medicine only after there is no improvement with the above.

Try and get your pancreatitis under control and monitor frequently so that you don't go in to chronic pancreatitis. Patients with family history of diabetes and sever pancreatitis are more likely to develop diabetes early.

Sir, my age is 28 years. I had been diagnosed with Gilbert's syndrome in 2004. Earlier, I used to be sharper & attentive. But since 2009, I have started forgetting things. I don't find myself focused on a particular thing. I can't perform multiple tasks at a time (that much effectively). I searched the net and found out that GS patients may develop forgetfulness. Is GS the primary cause of these things? In that case, what should I do to rectify my GS? Some examples of problems faced by me (not always) : 1. I want to copy files from x folder to y. I go to x, select files (takes some time) and moves to paste it but where ? I forgot. Then after 2-3 seconds, I remember and paste it to y folder. 2. I had given the room key to x person while working on something (sitting with z person). After finishing work, we (myself & Z) returned to room to see room is locked. I started searching key (which I usually keep in my left pocket). Didn?t find it. Started searching other pockets. Not getting it. Panicked. Went back to the place I was sitting. Z person waited there itself. Didn?t find there too. On the way back to room, y person handed over me the key (in front of Z). I wonder how come it reached to him. He explained the key has been given to him by x person. I am still clueless how did it reach to x person. Z person (who was till then enjoying my fiasco) reminded me of giving the key to x. Then only I remembered. Quite embarrassing it was! 3. Locked the door. Came downstairs. Started thinking I haven?t. Needed to go back to check it again. (Had I been attentive enough while locking itself, I wouldn't have required to go back & check).

How to Prevent Excess Gas

BHMS
Homeopath, Bhiwadi
How to Prevent Excess Gas
The human body produces between one and four pints of gas per day from food, drink and ingested air.

1. People then pass the gas either by burping or flatulence through the rectum. At times, though, people suffer from excess gas that can be painful and embarrassing. Understanding how to reduce excess gas can help your stomach feel normal. Keep reading to learn how to prevent excess gas.

Identify foods that give you excess gas. You may already know what foods cause you to have excess gas, but if not, start keeping a journal of the foods you eat to determine what foods seem to be causing your excess gas.
Once you have determined what foods are causing your excess gas, limit your consumption of those foods or avoid them entirely. Some of the most common gas producing foods include
Vegetables such as broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, and cauliflower.
Beans and other legumes.
Fruits such as peaches, pears, and raw apples.
Whole wheat products and wheat bran.
Eggs.
Carbonated drinks, fruit drinks, beer, and red wine.
Fried and fatty foods.
Sugar and sugar substitutes.
Milk and other dairy products.

2
Eat slowly. Eating too quickly causes you to swallow air, which may cause you to have excess gas. To prevent this side effect, take your time when you eat. Chew your food well and take breaks between bites to slow down your eating and reduce the amount of gas that you swallow
3
Brush your teeth between meals instead of chewing on gum or mints. Chewing on gum or sucking on mints or hard candies can cause you to swallow excess air, which may lead to excess gas. Try brushing your teeth between meals instead to reduce the amount of excess air that you swallow.
4
Sip beverages from the glass, not through a straw. Drinking through a straw can cause you to swallow extra air, which can lead to excess gas. Instead of drinking through a straw, sip your drinks right from the glass.
5
Make sure that your dentures fit well. Ill-fitting dentures can cause you to swallow excess air when you eat and drink. If your dentures are not fitting well, schedule an appointment with your dentist to have your dentures adjusted.

My mother is asthmatic+gastric patient. She diagnosis for gall bladder stone of 9 mm. doctor refused to operate on 4 Jan 16 due to low oxygen content 94%. Advice me what to do or where to take her for treatment nearby.

Dear lybrate-user ji, as I can see you have mentioned your age as 70 yrs, so your mother should be around 90 years. At this age even a small risk can be life threatening. So if her oxygen saturation was 94%, I think the doctor has taken a correct decision by postponing the surgery. If the gall stone is not causing any kind of problem, then my suggestion would be to leave it alone. Your mother should be monitored by a pulmonologist on regular basis for her asthma. Best wishes.
