Hi, decay in that tooth would ve been very deep. Now it must have reached nerve that's why you are getting pain occasionally and as it proceed you will end up in continuous pain. Permanent relief can be obtained only by getting root canal done. Medicines alone can't treat this. So with out delaying do consult a dentist and get root canal treatment done and come back with smile. Cheers.

Consult your dentist who will do clinical examination and check if the filling has some "High Points" or the decay has progressed into the pulp. Depending on this either the High Points of the filling will be grounded or Root Canal Treatment may be advised to you. Good Health :-)
