Mr. lybrate-user, At 60 years with 167.5 cms height your ideal body weight should be (167.5 - 100 = 67.5 X 0.9 = 60.5 kgs) 60.5 kgs. Hence your present weight is absolutely fine and within the prescribed limit. In diabetes weight ;loss occurs when blood glucose is not in control. If in control then weight improves with proper treatment and correct diet and exercise. Ideally fasting should be closer to 100 mg, PP 160 to 170 mg & HbA 1c% <7, when one is in control. BP should be 120 - 130 / 70 to 80 mm Hg. But upper limit of 140 / 90 mm Hg is permissible. Thanks.
