Hi going by your description, I am inclined to think you might have a habit of grinding your teeth, esp. In of stress. This has led to chronic inflammation of the jaw joints, resulting in the pain. Also, due to constant overuse, the jaw closing muscles might have become enlarged, and they enlarge further when in prolonged continuous use, when you are clenching your teeth while under stress. Suggest you try and notice if the clenching of teeth happens at such times. If it does, you need to make a conscious effort not to do so. Sometimes, it might be necessary to fabricate intra oral appliances to protect the teeth. The problem of jaw enlargement may get rectified if the habit is effectively broken. In any case, see an oral surgeon for assessment and necessary intervention.
