Sir yesterday I went to a barber shop to get shave & I got a tiny cut onto which the barber applied an alum which he may have used on other customers as well, now I worried about getting any sort of infection such as hepatitis, so please if this can lead to any infection.

Yes there is a small possibility. But you need not worry. Get hbsag and hepatitis c test done. If you are negative you can get vaccinated forhep b if not already done. Repeat test after 6 month. Hep b is highly contagious. Avoid getting shave in barbers shop. It will be better if we carry a razor of our own for shaving the edges after a hair cut. Dont share toothbrushes, combs razors with anyone. Even if infected 80 to 90 % of adults end up with self cure and now there are medicines to treat the infection.
